RURALSHORES WINS EDISON AWARD,USA
RuralShores has won the Bronze award in the Lifestyle and
Social Impact category,by the internationally-renowned Edison Awards at
Edison Awards Gala on April 26th2012 in New York, USA.
"The Edison Awards provide an exclusive platform for honoring
innovation, recognizing innovators, and encouraging ongoing innovation
among today's development teams, researchers, designers,
'intrapreneurs' and entrepreneurs,” said Tom Stat, Chairman
of the Edison Awards’ Steering Committee. It’s
exciting to see companies like RuralShores continuing Thomas
Edison’s legacy of challenging conventional
thinking.”
The ballot of nominees for the Edison Awards was judged by more than
3,000 senior business executives and academics from across the nation
whose votes acknowledge the Finalists’ success in meeting the
award criteria of Concept, Value, Delivery and Impact. The Panel
includes members of the powerful Marketing Executives Networking Group
(MENG), which has been partnered with the Edison Awards since 2009.
Winners of the Gold, Silver and Bronze Edison Awards were announced on
April 26, 2012 at the historic Hotel Capitale ballroom in New York City.
The members of the Edison Awards Steering Committee are senior
executives with diverse marketing, scientific, and business backgrounds
who monitor the development and successful launch of innovative
products each year. The Committee is responsible for bestowing the
annual Edison Achievement Awards and serves as a guidepost in
developing the list of nominees that is presented to the Edison Award
judges.
NASSCOM Award for Business Innovation
The objective of the Innovation Initiative is to encourage innovative practices across the IT-ITES Industry and provide support for these by developing an ecosystem that is conducive to fostering innovativeness, technological advancement and the creation of IP. Through this initiative, NASSCOM seeks to position the Indian IT Industry as a thought leader engaged in technology advancement.
RuralShores was the runner up in the "Start Up" category in 2009 for its innovative Ruralshoring model.
Economic Times BPO Award under the Social Catalyst Category
The CSR Award recognizes outstanding contribution by an organization to a social cause / causes in the year. The social causes can include any applicable causes related to the society, communities, and environment. The winner of this award will have demonstrated institutionalization of CSR activities in a systematic and structured way, and have created an impact on any or all of the above-mentioned areas, while maintaining the goal of creation of business value.
RuralShores was the winner in the "Social Catalyst" category.
Rural BPO Excellence Award by the Govt. of Karnataka
The Rural BPO Excellence Award instituted by the Department of IT & BT, Government of Karnataka encourages the entrepreneurs in their rural endeavours. The winner of this award will have demonstrated extraordinary commitment towards generation of employment opportunities in rural areas.
RuralShores was presented with this award in Bangalore IT.Biz 2010 for best practices, social inclusion and commitment to rural employment.
